December 2010 Updates

Monday, December 6th, 2010

It’s been a fantastic 2010 with many students continuing to do some fantastic in and out of the studio. It’s great to hear this feedback and we look forward to an awesome 2011!

HOLIDAYS
A reminder that Guitar 1on1 will break from December 17 2010 and resume lessons January 18 2011.

ENROLMENTS FOR 2011
We are now taking Enrolments for 2011 so if your New Years resolution is to start learning Guitar, get in touch with us by hitting the Contact page and book in for your free trial lesson. Yes we are aware its still 2010, but those that get in early will be guaranteed a lesson spot with one of our friendly teachers! :) If you are an existing student continuing with us next year, please ensure that you hand your enrolment form in before December 16 at the latest. If you have lost the form, please get in touch.

REPORT CARDS
We are currently filling out report cards for all school age students. These are a great way to track a student’s progress and offer the opportunity for parents as well to see how their child has progressed throughout the semester. These will be issued during lesson time in our last week in December before holidays.

SITE UPDATES
As well as this nifty little post, there’s a new lesson posted in our “Quick videos” section. This lesson is on the Lenny Kravitz classic “Are you gonna go my way” Enjoy! Don’t forget to also check out our new youtube channel www.youtube.com/1on1guitar

THANK YOU
Thank you for an excellent 2010! We’ve seen excellent growth overall in our students and we look forward to an even better 2011. We encourage you all to stay safe during the holiday period and enjoy the break. We look forward to seeing you in 2011, refreshed and ready for the year ahead! 

Updates October 2010

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

Wow, it’s October already! its hard to believe Christmas is around the corner, right? It’s a great time to book in for a free trial as we enter our busy period for enquiries from now till February 2011.
Current available lesson times
Tuesday 2.30, 3.30, 5.30, 6.00,
Wednesday 2.30,
Thursday 2.30, 3.00, 3.30, 4.00, 4.30, 5.00, 5.30, 6.00, 6.30
Enrolments for 2011
We will be handing our enrolment forms for all exisiting students with Guitar 1on1 in a couple of weeks. As stated above, we are just into our busy period for lesson enquiries and we need to know whether students are continuing with us so that we can secure your lesson spot. Please look over these and sign them when they are handed to you
Makeup Lessons
Please remember the purpose of makeup lessons is for the benefit of you the student and your teacher to ensure that we maintain our goal of weekly lessons. Remember there’s no need for cause of panic, we keep a strict log of all makeup lessons owed and will be running makeup days when we can to finalize these. We are still fine tuning days/availabilities of teachers but we are looking to run a makeup day on Mondays once a month which should help us get to our goal of finalizing all makeup lessons before the end of year/Christmas break.
Teachers Away

We appreciate your patience when Teachers can’t make it in to give you your lesson. Remember that when this happens, we normally cancel the lesson and refund your money (the cancelled lesson is subtracted from when your fees are due next) however when an opportunity arises and we are running a makeup day, we will try where possible to book in an extra lesson with you. This will balance a cancelled lesson and maintains our goal of weekly lessons with you at Guitar 1on1. If you still prefer a refund, we can arrange this.
New Facilities
There’s nothing like upgrading and we are planning to move Guitar 1on1 into better headquarters! This will include better studios including soundproofing, more teachers, better equipment etc. The list goes on. I’m currently looking into what options are available and we’re aiming to move sometime in 2011 but rest assured, we will be staying in the Underwood area to help our local students. Watch this space!
Thanks for reading

Happy playing!
