About Chris Timms
For over 20 years, Chris has been studying the guitar earnestly. Taking lessons from various guitar teachers at an early age, and then moving into band projects, he has worked in many bands from the age of 13 covering a variety of styles including Fourth Axe Heavy metal band, Mansfield State High School Stage Band (jazz), ZFX (progressive instrumental fusion band), Spinning Silver (progressive metal) MindsAlike (hard rock).
He’s performed covers from over 300 well known artists with bands like Crywolf, Liquidate, Mantra, The Beam and many more in various reputable Brisbane hotels/R.S.Ls and Taverns. Highlights of his career include supporting Screaming Jets and The Angels in 2007 and playing at well known venues in Brisbane like The Zoo, Living Room, Her Majestys bar. Not only has he performed such a large plethora of covers but he has written, performed and recorded a wide range of original material that has been received well with radio airplay on Australian radio stations like Triple J, CFM and 4ZZZ.

He has had nearly 5 years tuition experience and has worked for Forte School of music, Music Education Centre and Music makers. He remains active in the industry, currently playing and musically directing for City Church, is also a member of original Metal act Neverworld and duo covers act Chaos and Rapture. He’s also currently in stages of recording his first solo album “The Journey Home”
